For that, I bring a spare wireless router and just connect it to their router via ethernet and then connect my headset to my router via wifi. There's a large shared party room in my condo building. I gave my sisters some decent wireless routers as gifts so there really isn't anything I have to carry or do at their homes now. I actually play at 3 different locations. 1000 miles away is the limit of playable from my experience. Lastly, the farther away from home your remote location is, the more latency it will have. 25 mbps would work assuming you don't have a million devices connected to it. You need to be not too far from the router. Like 25 mbps upload speed would work but a low number like 5 mbps would not work.Īt the remote location where you are playing, you need to be connected to a good wireless router. Your pc internet at home has to have a decent upload speed. One is your pc has to be connected to the internet via gigabit ethernet. Though there are some criteria you have to meet in order to make it work so might not be possible for you.
